UK Concept of Operations Stakeholder Engagement

You may have heard occasional references to ‘Project Chatham’ over the past few months, either from Government communications regarding its Unmanned Aircraft System/Drone consultation, or via a direct input from one of the
project team.

The project is centred on the production of a single, nationally approved set of data which can portray to operators, manufacturers and organisations that offer support functions (such as mapping app providers), the necessary information about airspace within which flights of small unmanned aircraft are either restricted or prevented. The next part of the project involves the publication of a draft data set in AIXM 5.1 which we can offer to a small targeted audience as part of stakeholder engagement in order to receive feedback as to whether or not the intended data set is useable as part of our assessment of the next steps.

We have now reached this part of the project and would like to make use of your company in this process.

Please click below to fill out a questionnaire seeking
your views on the usability of the data set.

Note 2: For Developers – The Universal Unique Identifiers (UUID) will change prior to the data set being released into service.

Note 3: Ownership of an ATZ qualifies an aerodrome to be included in this current data set, therefore a small number of licensed civil Aerodromes are not included. This anomaly is expected to be resolved once the ANO amendment has been finalised.
